I always say when things start to weigh you down, you should stand up for yourself and stop them, but some things aren't just as easy to stop, are they? But, I wasn't running, at least that wasn't my purpose. . . . but even if I wasn't running, I wasn't really turning around and facing the problem either, was I?

It's better just to deal with them once and for all, and then move on. A clean break. Things can't just be tossed aside, but, one needs to deal with them. I understood that things wouldn't ever be the same again. That's a fact, but its actually realizing that fact that is what matters. There are some things that people do which they simply cannot return from. I chose my side, and I do not regret doing so.

This time, I really was the dummy, wasn't I?

It was too early for him, for minds, even when faced with the truth, do not simply change overnight. She's a perfect example... There's always that lingering sense, but still...

A pity, almost, though I can't say I actually know him, or have gotten to know him. It's not that they are scary, but... well I can't really put my tongue on it. I was still yet to become a shinigami when Urahara, Shihouin and them left Seireitei. Given that the Soutaichou vouches for them, as well as other older captains, though, that in itself speaks louder than anything else.

And so things will soon change, but for some it really is merely in name only. Fukutaichou. Taichou. Haven't they already been all but captains, looking after their Divisions since the traitor's left? I'm no stranger to change, for Hitsugaya-taichou, in the grand scheme of things, is a young captain even with a war beneath his belt. One cannot help but wonder though just how others will take it. Hinamori-chan still clings to a dream of what was. Foolish. Naive. In a way- but no. The past is the past, and things cannot change. I would not want them to change either for this is how things have turned out.

Still, to formally call them Taichou... A sign of the changes ahead.
